Good morning! We have a very special post from a member of our community. Has anyone thought they were in remission before only to experience these symptoms again? Please share and give Erin some advice!
"I was diagnosed with scleroderma when I was 13 and am now 30. I have lesions on my skin. My doctor put me on methotrexate until I was 20. Then wanted to try imuran. I have been on that until a few months ago. I got a new doctor and she didn't understand why the first doctor diagnosed me with scleroderma. She said my labs came back normal. She took me off the imuran and told me she wasn't comfortable prescribing it to me. She told me she thinks I am in remission. I have always had shortness of breath that my primary care doctor prescribed singular for and told me I had asthma. Since I have been off my medicine, I have back/shoulder pain on my right side and now it's going down my right leg. It feels like very right muscles, and it doesn't seem to matter how much I stretch. I don't know if this has anything to do with my scleroderma. Does anyone know if you have normal blood tests, does that mean you are for sure in remission? Or could my shortness of breath and muscle pain be the scleroderma? Just looking for any advice/knowledge."
