The two top discus throwers on CEP'S roster have both been featured on WorldAthletics after their outstanding seasons from last year to this year with more fireworks to come. Cici Onyekwere took home the gold medal from last year's Commonwealth Games and Alex Rose finished top eight(8) in the world at last year's Oregon World Championships. For 2023, Onyekwere established a new African record by besting the prior record which was set some 16 years ago and Alex threw a lifetime best over 70m, a feat that no one from Samoa has ever achieved.
