Busing-we have been here for 2 years and both years have had significant issues at the beginning of the year and beyond. First year I was not able to get the correct info for her bus stop, bus time, or even bus number which resulted in her having to be delivered individually after they had to find out who she was! The bus driver she had for the first part of the year need more training on how to deal with problem solving and discipline. The replacement driver was great and my child loved her! This year my child does not return home until 50 minutes after school is completed wouldn't be so bad but this also was not communicated with us through the app. or anything, which left us parents and caregivers waiting at the bus stop for over an hour for the first month wondering if they had been forgotten. All information I have gotten about busing has been though my child (who is 6). I no longer do anything with the busing app because it is not helpful or useful to me.

Communication is absent. “Safety” only matters when it pertains to kids they know and families they don’t care for. P**s off the Secretary one day, suddenly my sister in law isn’t on some random list to pick up my kids (after 2 years, and her being on every list I’ve ever been given…?) yet just last week they randomly just gave my son to my mother in law- I had no idea until she showed up with him as I was leaving to pick him up. The politics and cliques within Anna ISD are a gross negligence to our children.

Communication! Every time I about my child at AEC, I’m just pointed to Schoology, but it is so not user friendly for parents to look at assignments, testing dates, due dates. Half the time it’s not updated. I also feel that AEC has no opportunity for parent involvement and volunteering. I have not received any opportunities anyway. Another improvement for middle and high schools: they need lockers or somewhere to store their belongings. It is so hard to have to tote around all their books, supplies, coats, lunch, etc all day long.

Staff and teachers going by the rules. Staff not taking the side of the teacher when the teacher is being uncooperative. Staff doesn’t care about abiding by 504s. At all at the high school level.

7th grader constantly bullied and too afraid to speak to because staff doesn't listen. Lots of theft because no lockers and backpacks unattended. Sports players get special treatment.
