Although it's cold outside with little sign of green here on the East Coast of the U.S., I'm reminded of growth. During the winter months, plants rest and live off stored food until spring.

Currently, I'm living off of what I made (read: "stored") in the warmer months, which is certainly stressful. But 'tis the life of an entrepreneur, and I'm grateful to be one.

It's been a slower season for Selah Creative Co., but I'm taking this time to rest and recalibrate; ensuring that when work does pick up, I'm prepared for it.

I don't want to sit idly by during the winter, hibernating while futilely wishing it was warmer out. I want to be proactive, making the most out of every moment and pouring back into my business when I have extra time.

This year, I'm committing to moving my body, eating mindfully, waking up early, staying creative, resting regularly, and pursuing a balanced lifestyle.

What are you committing to this year personally or professionally?

A professionally designed website isn't optional for businesses anymore—it's necessary.

If you want to create a successful brand, you need a website that's built to convert. It's not enough to simply be online.

Did you know that 75% of people judge a business's credibility on how their website looks?

Meaning, a poorly designed website can be more harmful to your business's reputation than not being online at all!

Professional web design is crucial to establishing trust in the eyes of your audience. If your website doesn't look credible, you're losing leads.

Don't make these common website design mistakes that sully your business name. Which one are you guilty of? 🤭

The one concept method is an approach to design where you only present ONE brand design solution to a client.

Yes, only one.

In the past, I would design up to 3 or 4 primary logos for a client to choose from without building out a full suite.

With the one concept approach, I design all logo variations, stemming from a primary logo design, and present them all together in a brand presentation.

This way, I spend my time designing one complete brand concept that I believe is the best solution for my client's business, rather than wasting time producing subpar concepts that aren't fully developed.

Swipe to take a sneak peek at page 6 of my Welcome Guide where I explain this concept in detail when I onboard new clients!
