When a new patient walks into my office, I’m not just looking at their teeth.
I’m evaluating signs of inflammation, their jaw structures and beyond, as well as breathing patterns. This will all give me a clue as to what is really happening in the body. This way, I can create a plan suited for my patient to help with the root cause, instead of masking the symptoms.
How do you keep your kids braces free?
The reason for crowded teeth is a jaw that’s not big enough to accommodate the teeth which stems from restrictive airways. Proper airway development is essential in a healthy development of the jaw and surrounding structures.
In our functional dentistry practice, we assess airways and structural development early and redirect the growth to the natural state the body was designed to have.
