Maitland Adams was a tireless advocate for the disadvantaged and underserved and a steadfast defender of personal freedom and human dignity. He was everything his obituary outlines and much more and the Alabama Democratic Party lost one of its finest this past Wednesday. He never lost the opportunity to speak up when needed and his strong and easily recognized voice added strength to everything he said. A kind heart and a loving spirit for all things good identified Maitland. We need more Maitland's in this world.
