Introducing Lucy! She is a sweet, happy, smart 4 y/o girl who came from Ridglan Farms and I am Fostering. I picked her up on 5/13 (my b-day) and since that day she has had SO many firsts. She had her first bath and this is where she learned that not all human touch is meant to hurt. She has mastered going up and down stairs, going potty on grass instead of a wire cage/hard floor and how to eat and drink out of a bowl. She watches my other 2 dogs and learns so much from them. She loves to play with them and follows me everywhere I go. She loves belly rubs and the feel of sleeping on a soft couch. She has learned what receiving love from a person feels like.
Along with these things comes the brutal truth of her past that can not be forgotten or ignored. She does NOT like to be picked up because I’m sure her past resulted in some sort of torturous test each time. She has many gray hairs due to stress which came from being tested on and overbred. Her teeth and breath are similar to that of a dog twice her age. She is so used to living in crowded cages with 4-5 other dogs that she doesn’t know boundaries and often finds familiarity walking with her body touching objects, walls, people & other dogs. She does not know what fun dog toys or tennis balls can be but is slowly learning. She was only given a chunk of PVC pipe to play with, while living at Ridglan Farms. ☹️
Her next steps will be to be spayed and find her forever home. It is so heartwarming to be a part of this girl’s first firsts and watching her figure out how wonderful it is to finally BE a dog.
THIS is why we united to rescue the dogs!

RIDGLAN FARMS WEBSITE MISREPRESENTS BEAGLE RESCUE
Ridglan Farms dedicated a web page to the events this past Saturday, and it's just not true.
The page demands Wayne Hsiung be disbarred from his California license. Ridglan should look into its own misconduct first - like its failure to file corporate documents since July, 2025, presently listed as DELINQUENT on Wisconsin's corporate website.
Then there's Ridglan's manure filled moats they created to make the rescuers sick with bacteria knowing they'd walk through it. That shows Ridglan is a sick-minded operation.
They were recently cited for that sewage, but the consequences are far worse when people start getting sick with bacterial infections and that creates an infectious disease outbreak.
The CDC says that sewage can cause tetanus, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, and polio protection.
Ridglan doesn't care about anyone's safety, so long as they can breed Beagles and sell them off to die because they're in the dog killing business, and they know it.
Take a look at https://www.ridglan.net/faq/
Here's some of Ridglan's website fictions (there's many more):
1. Ridglan is "dedicated to improving the health of our pet animals." No - Ridglan breeds Beagles to sell for profit for horrific agonizing experiments to labs that dump their dead bodies like trash.
2. Ridglan blames Wayne Hsuing who "egged on" a violent attack. No-Hsuing is not the reason the world despises the cruelty to the Beagles at Ridglan, nor was there a violent attack. The rescuers were trained to be peaceful and not engage in violence-which they never did. To be factual, someone drove a truck through a fence, but that ended immediately and noone was hurt. That was an anomaly out of 1,500 peaceful rescuers.
3. Ridglan says a "thorough investigation" led to the recentvsettlement not to charge it criminally. No-the DA never physically went to Ridglan and we are uncertain of the extent of any investigation, which Ridglan's website leaves us to guess.
Importantly, after witness testimony, hearings and evidence, in 2025 a Judge found probable cause for 311 violations of animal abuse at Ridglan.
How Ridglan avoided criminal charges after that decision is a mystery, but I assure you their sewage and other malicious conduct is being investigated.
