I get nostalgic this time of year. Maybe because I am another year older, or I miss my teenage brows, and the way my friend could take a photograph without us looking at it immediately, critiquing each "flaw."
Maybe I miss my sense of safety in a cemetery in foreign country, or miss my careless attitude about the unknown future.
Maybe it's the fear of time passing without reflection, a need to slow it all down.
My slight obsession with this troubled dead poet would lead me on a journey not knowing how to get back to the hotel, so what.
Just the thought of it terrifies me now. I guess I will celebrate the girl without worries, and embrace the calm that age brings.
