💕Happy Soothing Sunday with Desi at Silverstone on Schroth Lane! 💕

📺 We started the morning off with some funny baby videos 👶🏼while snacking on donuts 🍩☕️ Man, those babies sure make us laugh. 😂

We followed that with a little stroll 🚶🏼‍♀️🚶to walk off those calories! 😉

🎶 For our Hymn Singalong, we listened to “Amazing Grace”, “Blessed Assurance”, and “It Is Well With My Soul” ✝️🎶 The residents can sing those old, traditional classics by heart. ❤️

🎯 We then enjoyed some friendly competition playing games that had us active and concentrating hard! First up was ball darts 🎯 with Donna being the winner with 80 points! Next was ring toss, and believe it or not, Donna was a pro again, as well as Susan! Great job, ladies! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

☀️Before lunch we enjoyed one of our favorite summer pastimes…sitting outside, soaking up the beautiful sunshine ☀️ and fresh air!! We had a wonderful time watching the birds 🐦 and airplanes ✈️ while sharing childhood stories and bopping the beach ball around! 🩵

🎬 Our Sunday matinée 🎥 was our good, ole favorite, “The Sound of Music”. 🎶💕

It was an amazing day at Silverstone on Schroth! 💗 We want to give Desi a big shout out 📣 of thanks for the fantastic job she did in leading the activities for us while Bill was at Packard! We appreciate you, Desi!! 💓

☀️💗 It was a beautiful, glorious day, inside and out! ☀️💗

🏋🏼We took advantage of the sunshine and fresh air to do our Leg Day exercises outside. The gentle breeze was refreshing as we worked our leg muscles! We ended with a nice, relaxing cool down 🙆🏼‍♀️ focusing on our deep breathing and positive affirmations 💓 followed by a lovely walk. 🚶🏼‍♀️

☕️🍩 As a reward for working out, we gathered in the activity room for refreshments. To celebrate “Nat’l Bubbly Day” 🍾 we enjoyed a delicious sparkling white grape juice! Of course we all had to raise our cup and shout, “Cheers!”🥂

💅 Manis, “The Golden Girls” 📺Summer coloring 🌞🖍️ and puzzles filled the rest of our morning! 🧩

🎬 Today’s matinée was the fun and spunky, 1998 version of “The Parent Trap” with Lindsey Lohan.

☀️ Patio Social was a big hit and so much fun! The ladies and I chit chatted and reminisced about life, being mamas, funny kid “isms”, places we have traveled or where we would love to go! It was a truly special time 💕all the while enjoying the gorgeous sunshine. ☀️

Desi will be here tomorrow for Soothing Sunday ✝️🎶while Bill entertains at Packard. He’ll return here Monday, and Leah and I will see y’all Thursday! We hope everyone is having a terrific weekend! ❤️🩵💜
