Looking forward to being back at Outagamie County Fair with our friends from The 308s & Grand Union, a whole country music weekend in Seymour; not sure there's a better way to spend a weekend in the summer!

🎡 WHY SOME FAIRS BOOK LOCAL BANDS…
AND OTHERS GO BIG WITH NATIONAL HEADLINERS 🎤🔥

Not every fair is built the same — and honestly, that’s what makes fairs unique.

Some fairs choose 🎸 LOCAL & REGIONAL BANDS because:
✅ They’re more budget friendly
✅ They support hometown talent
✅ They create a community atmosphere
✅ They allow fairs to spend money on rides, grounds, animals, and family activities instead
✅ Local crowds LOVE seeing familiar musicians on stage

Meanwhile, fairs that bring in 🎤 NATIONAL HEADLINERS usually:
💥 Have larger entertainment budgets
💥 Rely heavily on sponsorships
💥 Need bigger ticket sales to cover costs
💥 Require larger stages, security, sound systems, and staffing
💥 Take a MUCH bigger financial risk if ticket sales flop

And here’s the truth most people don’t realize 👇

A national act can cost anywhere from tens of thousands… to HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars for ONE night.
That’s before staging, hotels, transportation, lighting, insurance, and staffing are even added in.

Sometimes fairs would rather:
🎡 Keep gate prices affordable
🎠 Focus on family entertainment
🏁 Add motorsports or multiple smaller shows
🎶 Offer several nights of live music instead of one expensive concert

At the end of the day, every fair tries to create the best experience possible for THEIR community and budget.

Big headliner or local hometown band — the goal is still the same:
🔥 Bring people together
🔥 Create memories
🔥 Keep fair traditions alive
