As we move from winter to spring cold wet or Kapha Dosha will be aggravated in our systems. You may begin to notice cognitive fog and sluggishness along with congestion and mucus.

Kapha Dasha is a king for forming Ama in the body and we should take care to utilizing cleansing practices in this time.

Try to be out of bed before 7am, flush the nostrils, and scrape the tongue thoroughly. Drink water that is slightly warm and has set in copper.

Perform physical exercise thar grenates heat in the body before breakfast. Traditionally, Sun Salutations repeated 12 times. For those of a Kapha dominant constitution, work especially hard to get the liver involved. Brisk walking up hill, bike sprints, circuit weight training are ideal both physiologically and orthopedically considering.

Diet should gear towards warming, clearing,, and balancing foods and herbs; tomatoes, celary pepper, cilantro black pepper, thyme.

We in the Vata Dosha season. In simplified terms we are more prone to nervous system fatigue, bone and joint issues, and colon health problems, as these are all ruled by the Vata Dosha.

What measures can we take in regard to Exercise, Diet, daily routine, and herbal uses when considering this?

1. Exercise should be slow and fluid, or focus on isometric holds. Keep your workouts at the same time each day. Focus on balance and stability exercises, and secondarily on Hypertrophy and strength.

2. Diet should be dishes that have been cooked and lightly oiled with a sesame, ghee, or grapeseed oils. Root vegetables will be key staples at this time potatoes (especially sweet), onions will be especially helpfull.
Nuts of all sort. All vegetables should cooked in oil.

3. Daily routine should be steady, taking extra time to wake, and time to relax before bed. Warm baths, showers, and saunas will be very beneficial. Apply a small amount of oil to joints afterwards. Spend time in nature and reconnect with the natural rhythms of the earth.

4. Skullcap, and Valerian will be beneficial. Mushrooms such as Lion's Maine, Rishi, and Chaga will all be useful at this time.
