Big Win for Patients’ Rights—But We’re Not Done Yet!

Oklahoma’s HB 2144, the Insurance Consumers Protection Act, just passed the House unanimously (84-0)! This bill is a game-changer—it allows patients to sue insurance companies when they act in bad faith to delay or deny physician-approved treatment that leads to harm.

Now, the bill heads to the Senate, where we need every voice to make sure it passes.

CALL YOUR SENATOR and tell them to support HB 2144. Patients deserve protection from insurance companies prioritizing profits over care.

Statement to Our Patients

We want to address recent rumors regarding our clinic’s future in Ardmore. While we are in the process of selling our current building, this decision is based solely on the fact that we do not need a 27-room facility for a single-provider practice. However, we fully intend to maintain a presence in Ardmore, both professionally and personally, as this remains our home.

It has come to our attention that some midlevel providers are spreading misinformation about our plans. We find it highly unethical for healthcare professionals to spread false rumors that may cause unnecessary anxiety for patients. Our priority has always been to provide clear and direct communication regarding any changes that may impact patient care.

Additionally, Dr. Tabor is in the process of obtaining medical licenses in multiple states to expand his ability to provide virtual care. This does not mean he is leaving Oklahoma or discontinuing services in Ardmore. Throughout his career, Dr. Tabor has consistently worked across multiple locations. Currently, he provides care at a clinic in Moore and has treated many patients through his private practice in both Moore and Oklahoma City over the past three years. This approach allows him to extend high-quality psychiatric care to a broader population while maintaining his local practice.

If any changes occur that may affect patient care, we will announce them through our official page and directly contact patients via email. We encourage patients to reach out to us directly if they have any concerns rather than relying on secondhand information.
