For me, it’s a TBT moment. In the eighties was working at Sunbeam-Coushatta, we used the Charmilles D-10 to make and repair our injection mold components. I was pretty efficient operating a deckel single point tool grinder, a deckel duplicator milling machine and the EDM. I used a manual surface grinder equipped with a whirled and a CNC Hurco (with a makeshift vacuum system) to shape my electrodes. Other than the Hurco, it was a very manual process. Only those who ran this EDM had experienced at least one time of opening the door and have a tank full of of dielectric fluid land in your lap.
I have used wobble broaches since the eighties but always in a lathe and not a mill. This was the first video that I could see how the wobble broaches actually performed since the hole was not rotating!! https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1AGdXCMxhA/?mibextid=wwXIfr
