Chickasaw families can access special education consultation and advocacy services through the Chickasaw Nation Child Wellness Special Education Program.

The program provides consultation and support services for Chickasaw students ages 3-18 enrolled in pre-K through 12th grade. Eligible students may attend public or private schools, participate in Chickasaw Nation education programs, or be enrolled in school-age and after-school programs.

Certified special education professionals can help families understand the special education evaluation process, navigate individualized education programs (IEPs) and Section 504 plans, and identify resources to support student success. Staff may also serve as advocates for families seeking assistance with educational services.
