THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 339 IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT THIS MORNING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN OKLAHOMA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 10 COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA MARSHALL IN SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA CARTER GARVIN JEFFERSON LOVE MURRAY STEPHENS IN SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA COMANCHE COTTON TILLMAN IN TEXAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 4 COUNTIES IN NORTHERN TEXAS ARCHER CLAY WICHITA WILBARGER THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ARCHER CITY, ARDMORE, DAVIS, DUNCAN, FREDERICK, HENRIETTA, HOLLIDAY, KINGSTON, LAKESIDE CITY, LAWTON, LINDSAY, MADILL, MARIETTA, PAULS VALLEY, RINGLING, RYAN, SCOTLAND, SHEPPARD AFB, SULPHUR, TEMPLE, THACKERVILLE, VERNON, WALTERS, WAURIKA, WICHITA FALLS, AND WYNNEWOOD.

Significant severe weather is expected today, with risks for large hail, damaging winds, and strong to violent, long tracked tornadoes. Make sure you have multiple ways to receive warnings and have a sheltering plan for if storms threaten your area. Not everyone will see storms this evening but be prepared anyway. If you live in any risk area, you will have the potential for severe weather.

A PDS (particularly dangerous situation) tornado watch has been issued by the Storm Prediction Center until 11 PM.
