Happy Monday, Everyone! ✨
This past weekend, we hosted our June Care Connect session, and it was so special!

When a child goes through cancer treatment, it affects the whole family. From long hospital stays to taking care of the house and other siblings at home, we know firsthand how heavy it can get. That is why we brought caregivers and families together to support one another.

📝 What We Learned & Shared:

Journaling for All Ages: We talked about how writing or drawing out your feelings helps everyone, from toddlers to teenagers!

Tools for Parents: We shared awesome resources and techniques to help caregivers take care of their own minds and bodies, too.

School Success: Our friends at Kidmistry taught us how to speak up for a child’s education during tough times—whether dealing with childhood cancer, a medical crisis, autism and other learning difficulties.

🗓️ Save the Date!

This was only the beginning. Mark your calendars for October 17th as we continue the conversation and provide more resources.

❤️ A Huge Thank You!

We want to give a huge shout-out to the amazing partners who helped us support our families:

-East Recreation Center 🎉

-Texas Health Community Hope 🤝

-Kidmistry - Kidmistry.com! 🎒

Because when a child gets sick, the whole family is impacted—and it takes a village to lift them up!

Jacob Way Education Hub - Trauma-Informed Professional Development 07/03/2026

A childhood cancer diagnosis — or any unexpected medical crisis — doesn't just impact the patient. It reaches every corner of the "living room": marriage, siblings, school, finances, faith.

Since our founding in 2022, Jacob Way has walked alongside families through that reality — providing financial relief, mental health support, and community connection through our Caring Hearts Initiative and Wellness Connections Series.

Our founder knows this firsthand. As a parent navigating her own child's medical crisis, there were moments she didn't feel seen — moments where the professionals in the room, though well-meaning, weren't equipped to meet her where she was. That experience became the foundation for something bigger: a recognition that supporting families is only half the equation. The nurses, social workers, educators, and case managers standing beside them needed to be equipped too.

That's why we are proud to introduce the Jacob Way Education Hub — our newest program, delivering trauma-informed care training for professionals serving childhood cancer families and families facing any unexpected medical crisis.

Our proprietary A.A.R. Method™ (Acknowledge, Assess, Respond) was built from deep childhood cancer expertise — and its framework for showing up with skill and compassion translates to any family navigating a medical crisis.

Seven CEU/CPE-accredited, in-person courses. One framework. And a mission we carry with everything we have: making sure the professionals surrounding these families show up with skill, confidence, and compassion.

We're now inviting hospitals, school districts, and organizations to become Founding Partners for our 2026–2027 season.

📍 In-person | TEA (CPE) • NASW-TX (CEU) • CE for Nurses (in progress)
🗓️ Booking is now open for October 2026 and beyond.

Let's build this together. 📩 [email protected] | www.jacobwayedu.com
Together, we ensure no family faces childhood cancer alone.
