Northern Virginia home sales increased 4.2% year-over-year, while national sales were essentially flat. Local buyer demand remains strong despite higher mortgage rates and economic uncertainty.

The average home in Northern Virginia sold in 18 days, compared to 32 days nationally. While days on market have increased from last year, well-priced homes continue to move quickly.

Northern Virginia has just 1.83 months of supply, compared to 4.4 months nationally. This limited inventory continues to support pricing and competition in many neighborhoods.
