Day 7: A Bittersweet Goodbye ❤️🙏

Today marked the final half day of our mission.

As we packed up the clinic and prepared for the journey home, many of us found ourselves holding two emotions at the same time.

Gratitude and goodbye.

We are grateful that the mission has been completed. Grateful for the opportunity to serve, to share our gifts, and to be part of something bigger than ourselves. Grateful that we now get to return home to our families and loved ones.

Yet there is also sadness in knowing it is time to say goodbye.

Over the past week, we created beautiful memories with our patients, our local volunteers, and with one another. We shared long days, hard work, laughter, challenges, meals, stories, and countless moments that brought us closer together. What began as a group of volunteers became a family united by a common purpose.

Physically, our bodies are drained. The heat, the travel, and the long hours have taken their toll.

But spiritually, our hearts are on fire.

We leave with a renewed sense of purpose, inspired by the resilience of the people we served, the generosity of our local partners, and the bonds formed throughout this journey. We return home eager to share these experiences with our families and friends—not simply to tell stories, but to pass on the hope, compassion, and love that we witnessed here.

Today, our team provided:

• 324 Medical Services
• 181 Optical Services
• 25 Dental Services

For a total of 525 services provided to 343 patients.

This mission may be ending, but its impact will continue in the lives of those we served and in the hearts of those who served.

Mission Day 3 ❤️🙏

Despite the intense heat, our team continued serving with dedication and compassion throughout the day.

Today, we provided:

• 716 Medical Services
• 303 Optical Services
• 50 Dental Services

For a total of 1,044 services provided to 774 patients.

While numbers help tell the story, they can never capture the gratitude in a patient’s smile, the relief of receiving care, or the hope shared through every interaction. Each person we met reminded us that healing goes beyond medicine—it begins with compassion, dignity, and human connection.
