Livestreamed with three cameras from New York's Times Square, Daval Video Productions captured the Armenian Genocide Commemoration Ceremony sponsored by The Knights of Vartan. In addition to operating one of the cameras, I also anchored the live coverage, which was broadcast both in the United States and in Armenia.

A little slice of Armenia came to my hometown this afternoon as Arlington's Regent Theatre hosted the US premiere of the feature film, "Zulali", which was shot in the northern Armenian province of Tavush, a place that I love dearly. Hermine Stepanyan, the talented actress who played Zulali, was on hand for the premiere, as was Arman Ordyan, the film's Director of Photography. They both thanked the audience after the film's showing and answered questions. They were introduced by Armine Manoukian, the Principal of the Erebuni Armenian School. The film itself was a work of art. It was a story of a family and how they dealt with the trials and tribulations of life in their village. The cast was superb, and the photography was breathtaking. I thank Arman Ordyan for his kindness and the great staff at the Regent Theatre for their assistance with sound. Special thanks to Armine Manoukian and Vache Dertorossian for their assistance as we filmed audience interviews after the film. Finally, I thank my good friend and colleague, David Watts Jr., for handling the still photography while I shot the video of today's festivities. My footage will be used for promotional purposes and shown on Armenian television. What a fun day!! Many of the following images are stills from the 4-K video I shot.

“Poets in Conversation” was a fascinating dialogue between distinguished Poets Shahe Mankerian and Susan Barba hosted last night by NAASR. The two poets read selections from their respective works and expressed their thoughts and feelings on their work before answering audience questions. Students from the St. Gregory and M. Hovsepian School in Pasadena, California, who accompanied Mr. Mankerian to Boston, dramatically recited one of Susan Barba’s poems toward the end of the program. I was honored to record the event and to handle the livestream. You can see ”Poets in Conversation” by using the link below.
