1. Ideal - kata, technique Instruction, pad work, shadow boxing, Armbar drills, ect.
2. Contingency - Application of the above with changing stress provocation, (designed resistance).
3. Flow - Light Sparring, memorized pad work, rolling (mid resistance)
4. Chaos - Heavy sparring, advanced pad work, fights
