i love this as it applies to softball… and everything, really.

the best part of coaching the littles is they show up, play, and even if they suck, they think they’re great. absolutely incredible. they love every moment. they believe (and know) they are God’s gift to the game of softball.

it’s easy as we excel, get older, make loftier goals, take it a bit more seriously… to forget that this is a game we are playing for fun. that’s it, that’s all.

remember that. keep your love for this opportunity to PLAY softball pure. ♥️

Parents often ask me, “Do you think my daughter is good enough to play in college? To get a scholarship? Sometimes they’re asking that about 9 year olds. I want to remind them playing sports isn’t just about playing in college.

Being athletic and active is a lifelong accomplishment. The value isn’t just in the uniform.
