Hello Community!
Thank you to everyone who has asked about the 2021 Local Goods Guide and continued to show support. More than ever, it's important to stay strong in our communities, support one another and help our local businesses thrive. That's why I have loved, despite the hard work and late nights, putting out this grass roots publication every year. I LOVE what it stands for in our community and the connections it has made for 14 years. (Much love to D Acres of New Hampshire Organic Farm & Educational Homestead for starting this little baby!)
It's with a heavy heart that I am announcing another year of pause, as we figure out the direction of this publication. This time of year, I am usually hosting volunteer dinners to finalize details and organize all the farmers, markets and local shops. This is usually the time when I am doubling down on work in deep gratitude for every human being that offers to proofread, distribute, design or make coffee. It's always been about connection community, not a paycheck.
But this year, the business connection we were working with to level up this publication changed their mind and despite putting in over a year of (verbal) commitment, it simply doesn't work for them anymore. Too late in the game to get the 2021 LGG printed this year, but we shall see what the future holds. Doesn't it seem like exactly what we need right now? I feel it.
Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or suggestions and as always, thank you for your support on this community journey!
In gratitude,
Stacey Lucas
