Meet John Kulewicz, Democratic nominee for Ohio Attorney General, right here in Jefferson.
Join us Saturday, July 18 from 4 to 6pm for a town hall with John Kulewicz. This stop is part of his transparency tour, and the idea is simple: show up, listen, and answer questions face to face. As he puts it, no one in Columbus is listening anymore. It’s time to change that.
Kulewicz has spent his career as a lawyer, not a politician. He argued and won cases in courts across Ohio and in the U.S. Supreme Court, and he visited all 88 counties before deciding to run. His priorities as Attorney General: taking on price gouging, predatory lending, and the monopolies driving up costs for working families, protecting seniors and consumers from scams, and demanding real accountability for how public money gets spent in Columbus.
Sign up to attend and you’ll receive the Jefferson location details by email. Free to attend!

Here's something you won't hear often enough in politics: our candidates are not running to represent just Democrats. They’re running to represent Ashtabula County.
Every one of our local candidates lives here, works here, and answers to the people here. And every one of them believes the same thing: that public office is a job you do for everyone, whether they voted for you or not.
Judge Albert Camplese has spent 33 years on the bench serving every family that walked into his courtroom. He built the Family Drug Court and the Juvenile Resource Center because addiction and childhood trauma don't check your voter registration, and neither should the help.
Oakey Emery stood up for Conneaut when General Electric wanted to walk away from the mess it left behind. He made a billion-dollar corporation post a bond before touching his community. That protection covers every household in Conneaut, no matter how they vote.
Jayson Noscal is asking hard questions about the deals being cut with our lake, our farmland, and our tax dollars, because Lake Erie belongs to all of us, and every property taxpayer in this county deserves a straight answer about where their money goes. After 25 years of driving at least an hour to and from work, Jayson decided that there has to be a better option for other county residents in similar positions and has decided to focus his attention on running for the office of Ashtabula County Commissioner for the 2026 election.
John Barbo and Louis Murphy are running for the statehouse because your electric bill doesn't care what party you're in. Neither does your property tax bill. Neither does your kid's underfunded school. These problems hit every family in this county, and Columbus has ignored them for over a decade. Both Barbo and Murphy are educators, and have experience understanding how decisions made at the state level impact our public schools because they live it everyday.
That's the difference on your ballot this November. Not left versus right. It's a simple question: who is this government for?
We believe it's for the family in Andover and the family in the Harbor. The farmer in Monroe Township and the retiree in Geneva. The people who agree with us and the people who don't. Because that's what public service means, and it's what this county deserves.
Register to vote by October 5. Early voting runs October 6 through November 1. Election Day is November 3.
