Pinwheels for Prevention 2026 💙

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and pinwheels once again filled the lawn at the Ashtabula County Courthouse—a powerful reminder of the bright, safe, and healthy childhoods every child deserves.

Staff from the Ashtabula County Juvenile/Probate Court were proud to stand alongside our community partners in support of this important cause. It’s always encouraging to see so many organizations come together with a shared commitment to protecting children and strengthening families.

Judge Albert S. Camplese was invited to speak on the importance of child abuse prevention. His remarks highlighted the critical role of collaboration, early intervention, and community support in ensuring better outcomes for children and families across Ashtabula County.

Why pinwheels?
The blue pinwheel, introduced by Prevent Child Abuse America, is the national symbol for child abuse prevention. It represents the joyful and healthy childhoods all children deserve, while serving as a reminder that we all play a role in making that vision a reality.

Together, we continue working toward a future where every child can grow, thrive, and feel safe.
