I wrote “SO LONG” as a protest song years before Trump joined the political sphere.

MAGA didn’t exist yet, but the GOP was already moving further to the right and Democrats were still trying to play “nice” with Republicans like Mitch McConnell and Mitt Romney, who now seem like moderates in today’s congress.

This song is about fighting back and not continuing to play the “Nice Guy” role when others treat you unfairly and it feels like the game is rigged against the average person just trying to make ends meet.
