I did it! After years of contemplating, I finally got out there and did it. And interestingly enough, on the day that would have been my mother’s 79th birthday. After falling into the water on my first attempt to stand, I felt a calm and a whisper…just get back on you can do this, nothing to be ashamed of by falling just get back on and don’t worry how it looks…it looks like someone getting back on and that is a good thing. This is what 60 years will look like for me. Born in the year of the fire horse, and getting back on again! So grateful for all the opportunities to do just that all these years of my precious life. Looking forward to the next time I paddle, and I’m not worrying about falling because I know I can get back up…not afraid. Thank you for being such a good friend and guide. 🏄🏻‍♀️💞🏄🏻‍♀️
