Athens ReThink Plastics

May is the month our youth educator is invited into classrooms to provide lessons on both the problems with plastic ( production, exposure, disposal) as well as solutions. This 3rd grade classroom time was extra special with her grandson in front row! Please read Jane Goodall’s message! It’s good for all of us to think about.

Plastic Free Day at both elementary schools in Athens City Schools! Silverware =less single use plastics!

Both Athens City School elementary schools had a plastic free lunch day today! Silverware collected in the bucket reminds students that throw away single use plastic cutlery is wasteful.
