Led by the talented Mr. Matthew Hendrix, our Band class is proof that you can harmonize from anywhere!

Join Mrs. Erica Hand in our Choir class to sharpen those vocal skills and connect with other singers!

The Vibe: Engaging, fun, and super supportive.

Athens Renaissance School is a K-12 online and blended public school option for students in Athens, Alabama and throughout the state. Using an innovative educational model to provide your child with the best education possible, our unique and personalized approach allows us to tailor an education that is specific to each learner.
We offer full support for every student. Our administrators, teachers and counselors are all certified. We have a full staff dedicated to supporting all the efforts of our families. With ARS, you are never alone in educating your child.
Because we are committed to the development of the whole student, ARS offers structured opportunities for socialization. We know it's important to connect with others, so we create those chances to connect.
Field trips are offered throughout the year. Elementary students can participate at our local elementary STEM school, SPARK Academy, in the SPARK lab and MakerSpace. A variety of clubs offer great options for extracurricular activity, such as running, outdoor adventure, 4H, yearbook, chess club and more! We even have a partnership with our local Rotary Club that sponsors the Interact Club to develop leadership skills for our high school students. Whatever your interests, you can find a way to tune in and connect with others at Athens Renaissance.
Athens Renaissance School uses award-winning curriculum, which has been developed by some of the best minds in education. This rigorous, content-rich curriculum meets or exceeds state standards across all subject areas. Students demonstrate their knowledge and skills through state standardized tests. Central testing sites will be designated that should make this easily accessible to our students.

Athens Renaissance is tuition free for Athens City residents and completely virtual students. Non-resident tuition is $300 per semester. Technology fees are associated. Please speak with an ARS representative to determine your actual cost for attendance.
