We have received a few messages over the past week that an individual is posing as a landlord with a discounted rent and requesting money. Please protect yourself from rental fraud by doing the following:

-If the rent rate sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't a true listing
- Always check to see if multiple postings have the same contact information listed. If there is multiple, there is a red flag.
-Never send money to anyone if you have not seen the property first with someone who has interior access.
- Check public records on qpublic to see if the name provided to you by the contact matches the owner on records
