UGA has been named a top producer of Fulbright students for the fourth consecutive year. Nine UGA students and alumni received Fulbright offers for 2025-2026 as English teaching assistants, among them two UGA Russian Flagship Program alumni:

Madison Fulton (Spanish, Russian)

Most UGA Russian Flagship Program students study with Dr. Shapiro during their time in our program, whether in first, second, third, or fourth year Russian language classes or her exciting content courses, all taught in Russian. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated instructor on our team.

Қазақ тілін үйреніңіз! We are pleased to invite UGA Russian Flagship students to join the Spring 2026 Kazakh Tutorial: Russian-Speaking World - Kazakh Culture and Language for Learners of Russian. This 1 hour/week introduction to Kazakh language and culture emphasizes oral and cultural proficiency and reading comprehension. Students will gain survival-level Kazakh language skills and cultural competence for living and studying in Kazakhstan during the Capstone year. This tutorial must be taken at least once before participating in the Capstone year; it can be repeated up to 4 times and is offered every spring semester.
