SAVMA Auction 2022 is all ONLINE, so there is no need to buy tickets! Just head to the link any time during that day to bid on some AWESOME items at reduced prices! All funds from this event go to support our UGA SAVMA Chapter, which funds all out-of-classroom experiences for all students, including speakers, seminars, and conferences. SAVMA also funds all student clubs at UGA's College of Veterinary Medicine.

Some of the great items we have available at auction are UGA 50-yard line tickets to Auburn, Samford, and Georgia Tech football games. Week-long vacation stays in Big Pine Key Florida, a weekend vacation in Sapphire Valley, and a weekend vacation in Sullivan's Island.
There will be everything from iPad, apple pencils, beats headphones, gift cards, tickets to Ruby Falls and World of Coke, custom pet portraits, and SO MUCH MORE!

There will be TWO pick-up dates (one at the VTH and one at the CVM) within the next couple of weeks for you to pick up your items (details will be on the Auction website in the Pickup/Shipping information). You are encouraged to use this option, but you can also have your items shipped to you for an additional shipping cost.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to remind you all about the Veterinary Leadership Conference application that closes TOMORROW Nov. 1st. Here are the details again for those interested!

VLC is the veterinary profession's premier conference for leadership development! Grow your leadership skills, gain new insights, and expand your personal toolset. Prepare for professional and personal pursuits and help shape the veterinary profession through CE sessions, AVMA governance meetings, and networking with colleagues! VLC will be held in person at the Chicago Marriott Magnificent Mile January 6th-9th, 2022, which will be open to SAVMA participants.

SAVMA is funding registration for one student from each of the 37 veterinary schools represented in the SAVMA House of Delegates! AVMA and SAVMA funding will cover majority of expenses related to attendance of in-person meetings.

Applications are due by November 1, 2021, 11:59pm CST.

Hi everyone!
The SAVMA Public Health and Community Outreach Committee (PHCOC) is offering three Disaster Preparedness Grants to veterinary students. This is an opportunity for individuals or clubs to receive funding to host a wet lab, lecture, or event that focuses on disaster preparedness through disease outbreak simulations, disaster response training/certification, or collaborative meetings with disaster responders in your area. There will be three grants awarded to help fund disaster preparedness activities, two $1000 grants and one $500 grant. Applications will be accepted for retroactive and prospective funding. The deadline to apply is April 30th, 2021.
