Old Guard Graphics

We are still working on the Richmond Variants and will need to push back the drop until next week. My goal is Monday, Oct. 6 at 12 Noon. I thought the SE foils turned out great, but really wanted to make my edition something special. So, at the last minute I decided to rework 4 of the 6 screens to better showcase the foil stock.

I am also really excited about the StarDream edition. I have used variations of this stock on previous projects and love the metallic / pearlescent luster. But with such a refined paper, the matte finish of the inks seems a little disconnected. To remedy, my plan is to add an overprint gloss varnish which will really make these shine and deepen the color saturation and contrast.

The artist edition is still the same basic setup as the SE, but with the alternate screens for the variants this simple 6 color print has morphed into an 11 color monster.

I am very pleased with the results so far and can’t wait to show off the finished results. Stay tuned for updates to the progress.
