Athens Disc Dogs

Hey everyone,

We have a few updates on the disc golf club @ UGA.

The disc golf club @ UGA has recently been restructured a little bit to help increase membership and engagement among the student body at UGA. We will now be called the Athens Disc Dogs and our logo this year is on our profile photo, thanks to Nate Wickander. We want to continue to grow the sport and get as many students involved in the sport as well as supporting the local Athens community in any way possible.

This past weekend, the club traveled to Charlotte to compete in a collegiate tournament at Nevin Park. We were able to bring three teams to the event and had a great time while we were there. Though we did not get the result we were hoping for, there are still many more tournaments in the Spring we plan to compete in. The results from the tournament are attached.

Lastly, if you are looking for some new plastic or need some Christmas presents, we have ordered some fundraiser discs with the help of Prodigy Discs. They will have our new logo large and center on all the discs. They came out very good and we were able to get some of the new molds. We will be selling these for $20 and I (Davis) will have them available at various times when there is action in the Athens area. I will have them tonight at Southern Brewing and plan to be available Sunday morning for doubles at Sandy. Otherwise I can try to do local meetups if possible. I will not be shipping discs at this time, but may make shipping an option in the Spring. We have the following discs available...
