We had a great time at the National UTeach STEM Educators Conference this week in Austin, TX! π
Our team led a session, βMeeting Students Where They Are,β which highlighted our community college partnerships and our program pathways designed specifically for transfer students entering during their junior and senior years. We also shared the edTPA supports offered to our students with other Alabama sites.
We were excited to have two of our students attend the conference with us! They represented our program exceptionally well, connected with educators and future teachers from across the country, and gained valuable experiences and insights to bring back with them.
Opportunities like this help us stay connected to the broader UTeach community while continuing to grow and improve the support we provide our students. βοΈ

We are so excited to distribute our second round of induction support to our math alumni! πβ
For this round, graduates were able to choose manipulatives specific to their content area and grade level to help support hands-on learning in their classrooms.
We are proud to continue supporting our students beyond graduation and to keep an open line of communication as they continue their teaching journeys! πβ¨

In early April, we were excited to host the Athens State TEACH Banquet as an opportunity to recognize our students, highlight valuable partnerships, and reflect on the continued growth of our program.
The evening brought together students, faculty, mentors, district partners, and supporters who all play an important role in preparing future STEM educators. We enjoyed sharing program progress, acknowledging the impact of our collaborative partnerships, and honoring the hard work and accomplishments of our teacher candidates! π
Thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to invest in Athens State TEACH. We are excited for what is ahead!
