Remembering Jim Sasser, the last Democratic senator from Tennessee, for his work to improve benefits for veterans and people with disabilities - and as Ambassador to China, for improved relationships between the USA and China. My condolences to his family and friends at this sad time.

We are saddened to learn of the death of former U.S. Senator, Ambassador, and Tennessee Democratic Party Chairman Jim Sasser. He served the people of Tennessee with pride and humility. His service to our party, our state, and our nation will forever be remembered.
