The Southeast Ohio History Center is proud to announce our new podcast, Echoes from the History Center, where staff members Tom O’Grady and Logan Lambert sit down with local historians from around the region dedicated to the preservation of where Ohio began, Southeast Ohio!
The “Echoes” project was born from Tom already hosting some episodes for WOUB’s Conversations from Studio B, which you will find some of those recordings making returns as future episodes, and the History Center’s goal of doing a lot of in-house content creation/promotion!
You can find this show on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, where you can listen to three great episodes out now:
- Dan Rowbotham, Madog Center for Welsh Studies
- Heidi Bender Kaufmann, Southern Ohio Museums
- Larry Groce & Erin Augenstein, ONE VOTE! The Musical

"Over the past six years, we’ve often been asked how we got the idea of creating this show. The simple answer is that we read David McCullough’s book, The Pioneers, and were fascinated by the story and the characters involved. Also, like many of you I’m
sure - and most notably, Mr. McCullough - we were struck by Marietta’s important but often overlooked contribution to American History." - Larry Groce

Over the past weekend, the city Athens celebrated the 250th Birthday of the United States of America and we were honored to have helped plan this historic celebration! Thanks to everyone who came out and braved the heat to celebrate the Fourth of July with us!
