“Tonya of MiaLa designs began making her one of a kind Nordic kindness elves over 10 years ago. Using vintage lace, scraps of fabric, and ribbons from Sweden, each elf has a varying skin tone, hair, and personality. In her time off from elf-making, she enjoys making human sized costumes and teaching sewing lessons at the local fabric shop. She adores the charm, chill, and creativity of the Big City Bread holiday market!”

Athens beloved Will Eskridge will be selling his work at the market thursday and Friday night!

“Will Eskridge is a full-time artist and muralist focusing on the fun side of un-huggable wildlife and pop culture party favors. With a father as a veterinarian and an artist mother, Will’s affinity for animals and art began when he was in pre-school. He resides in Athens, GA with his wife, their son, and their motley crew of dogs and cats. His work is in both private and public collections in Athens, Atlanta, Raleigh, Nashville, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, UK, Canada, China, Germany, Italy, Ireland, and Switzerland.”

Matt Winfree
“ I make spoons in the Swedish traditional way of splitting a log or branch, chopping the rough shape with an axe, and finally carving the final shape with a knife. This way the strength of the wood is preserved and each spoon is, by nature, unique. I use locally sourced hardwoods like maple, walnut, and cherry.”

Krysia Ara
“Krysia Ara has been installing public art mosaics in the Athens area for over a decade, most recently in Winterville and Watkinsville. She’s been enjoying making shimmery mosaics, mixed media art, and ceramic charms for this year’s enchanting holiday market and hopes to see you there! “

Gene Wright
“Gene Wright is Professor Emeritus of the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia. Gene will be showing his turned wooden ornament sculptures and other hand made wooden crafts.”
