Music on the Lawn is a celebration with a "Chastain Park" feel including good food, great friends, and wonderful music on the lawn at Wire Park. Attendees will enjoy a catered dinner, spirits, and an exciting auction, as well as some phenomenal live music! Music on the Lawn is Athens’ only outdoor singer-songwriter concert! This year's Music on the Lawn performer is Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Steve Dorff. Dorff has written songs for stars like Barbra Streisand, Kenny Rogers, Celine Dion, Blake Shelton, Ringo Starr, Whitney Houston, George Strait, Smokey Robinson, Garth Brooks and countless others. He has scored for TV shows including Growing Pains, Reba, Murphy Brown, and Every Which Way But Loose. Dorff has over 20 Top 10 pop and country hits, and is a 3 time Grammy and 6 time Emmy nominee.
