Meet Hon. Larry Mims. Larry served as judge of the State Court of Tift County from August 2000 to December 2014, presiding over misdemeanor criminal cases, general and complex civil cases, and handling temporary protective orders in superior court. Previously, he was solicitor of the State Court of Tift County from 1989 to July 2000, prosecuting misdemeanor cases. In his private law practice from 1980-2000, he focused on criminal law, family law, civil rights litigation, personal injury, and bankruptcy. Appointed as a senior judge by Governor Brian Kemp in March 2022, he currently serves as a senior judge and mediator/arbitrator at Miles Mediation, specializing in personal injury, premises liability, domestic relations, trust, estates, probate, and commercial contracts.
