MONDAY AUGUST 30

PRAISE TO THE MOST HIGH GOD!

Daily Reading: 2 Corinthians 9: 1-12 
“For the service that the ministering of this fund renders does not only fully supply what is lacking to the saints (God’s people), but it also overflows in many (cries of) thanksgiving to God.” V.12. (AMP)

There is much joy and excitement here and there! Lives have been touched. There is equally joy in heaven over sinners that repented. Oh what a month! Lives have been transformed to the glory of God. Broken marriages have been mended. Sicknesses have been dealt with. Bareness of all kinds, both body, pockets and souls have been dealt with equally. The hopeless have received hope, down casted lifted. Debts, have been settled, gifts given and received. Some are now driving the cars they did not buy, living in houses they did not build and cruising and rejoicing abroad because their flight tickets were purchased. New songs and testimonies are everywhere and all to the glory of God. 

Now hear ye the voice of the Lord in Hebrews 6 vs. 10; “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have shown toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
Yes “God is not a man that He should lie; neither the son of man that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” (Numbers 23 vs. 19). Rejoice all ye that truly did exploit. He had given you a mark that separates you from others. You are singled out for a miracle. His words are yes and Amen! 

Joyfully sing this song-
“Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise him, for he is your health and salvation!
Come, all who hear; now to his temple draw near,
Join me in glad adoration.

Praise to the Lord, who will prosper your work and defend you;
Surely his goodness and mercy shall daily attend you.
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do,
If with his love he befriends you.

PRAYER: Awesome God, I am truly happy for being among the obedient ones that did exploit. I give you praise and glory in Jesus name.

PLENTY HARVEST, FEW LABORERS!

Daily Reading: Mathew 9:32-38
“Jesus said to his disciples ‘The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” V.37.

Heaven is real and hell is real. Some people think that talking about them is folktale. When believers become aware that man has an invaluable, everlasting soul and must spend eternity in heaven or hell, then they will hurriedly present the gospel to everyone so as to get many saved. The problems some believers have are nonchalance and procrastination. Jesus noted in our key verse today that the harvest is truly plenty but the laborers are few because of so many reasons, nonchalance inclusive. Some laborers also keep on procrastinating. They delay and defer whatever the Holy Ghost has asked them to do, witnessing inclusive. When Jesus Christ was on earth, he stated that His meat was to do the will of God and to finish his work. He advised his disciples not to procrastinate or defer things. 2 Corinthians 5:11 states; “Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest in your consciences.”

Do you know the terror of the Lord over the sinners and the lost? Do you know that it has been appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment? Do you realize that the lost will spend their eternity in hell if not saved? If yes, why then keep quiet? Why not spread the gospel? Why not talk to that your neighbor both in office, market or home? What time are you waiting for? Which time do you feel will be the most suitable? Don’t you know that you control time and not the other way round? Create the opportunity. Be disposed. 
When will you visit that hospital to pray for the sick? When will you visit the prison and orphanage you have been planning? When will you visit that sister or family that was bereaved? When will you visit that sister that was delivered of a baby or at least call her to congratulate her? What of those gift items bought for somebody? When do you hope to send them? What about that money you put in an envelope and even wrote the name of the person you wish to give it to? When will it reach the owner? Sometimes you use up what you bought for so
