“Thank you” doesn't cut it, but it's a start.

I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have Kristie Anderson as my manager, teammate, and friend for years.

She’s the person I always wanted to team up with during big moments—whether it was navigating the pandemic or leading us through the coverage of President Carter’s passing. She was my or go-to, sounding board, and constant encourager covering the Olympics.

We once built a new show concept together and felt energized serving viewers and watching it grow to be a success.

No matter how big the story or how high the pressure, I knew she would help us get it right.

But what I’ll remember most is how she leads people. She leads with integrity and compassion. Kristie cares deeply about the people and the product. She has a way of making everyone feel supported while also challenging them to grow.

She’s headed for an incredible next chapter, and I can’t wait to see all she accomplishes.

Our newsroom is better because of you, Kristie. So am I.
