Artist Spotlight: Dora Lopez
We are proud to feature the work of Dora Lopez, an artist whose paintings explore the emotional depth of the human experience through expressive mark-making, movement, and atmosphere.
From the powerful energy of "The Ultimate Dream", inspired by the aspirations and passion surrounding the World Cup, to her intimate figurative works such as "N**e I," "N**e," and "Thinking II," Dora's work invites viewers into moments of reflection, vulnerability, and resilience.
Working with layered textures and a distinctive balance of abstraction and representation, Dora creates compositions that feel both deeply personal and universally relatable. Her figures emerge from soft washes and expressive gestures, revealing stories of contemplation, strength, and human connection.
Dora's artwork is currently featured in For the Art of the Game at Gallery Chimera, showcasing the breadth of her artistic vision beyond the world of sport and into the complexities of the human spirit.
✨ Available works are currently on view at Gallery Chimera.

⚽✨"KICK OFF": MELVIN TOLEDO ✨⚽
Featured in For the Art of the Game is "Kick Off" by Melvin Toledo.
Working in charcoal, ink, chalk, and mixed media, Toledo brings a thoughtful and expressive approach to the theme of soccer. In Kick Off, a solitary figure stands poised with the ball at its feet—a quiet moment before the action begins. The piece captures anticipation, focus, and the universal excitement that comes before the first touch of the game.
The muted palette and textured surface create a sense of depth and reflection, reminding us that soccer is as much about preparation and determination as it is about movement and competition.
