After my cat brought home puppies from who knows where, a policeman knocked on the door. His words made my heart stop…That evening began quietly. I was folding laundry when suddenly Lili’s voice rang out from the living room:— Mom! She has something in her mouth again!— Who? — I froze mid-step.— Marsa! A puppy! Another one!I ran to the window and couldn’t believe my eyes: my tabby cat was walking across the yard, carrying a tiny black bundle in her teeth. In the corner of the room, in a woven basket, already lay four just like it — tiny, their eyes tightly shut, with warm, velvety sides.Marsa carefully placed the new one next to them, gently licked it, and curled herself around them as if protecting them from the whole world.I couldn’t understand: where was she finding these puppies? And why was she bringing them one by one?During the day, there was a loud knock at the door — so loud that the glass in the frame rattled.I froze, and Lili clung to my hand as if sensing something bad.I opened the door — there stood a policeman and Mrs. Miller, our neighbor, known for noticing everything and everyone. Her face was darker than a storm cloud.— Do you have a cat? — the officer asked without wasting time on greetings.— Yes… — I nodded cautiously. — What happened? He held my gaze for a long moment, studying me, then quietly said:— In that case… you’d better sit down.I didn’t yet know what I was about to hear, but a cold shiver ran down my spine, and my heart skipped a beat.

A girl in a wheelchair arrived at the shelter and wanted to take home the most dangerous dog: when the German Shepherd saw her, it started barking, and then it did this… 😱😱
That day, the paralyzed girl had decided, for the first time, to visit the shelter. She had long dreamed of a dog that would be there not just for play and walks, but for real support.
The wheels of her wheelchair creaked softly on the corridor floor as she entered the spacious room with the kennels.
The dogs barked, jumped, each trying to get attention – some wagged their tails happily, others barked loudly, some jumped at the bars demanding freedom. The girl stopped at every kennel, looked carefully, but her heart remained silent. Not a single dog spoke to her soul.
She was beginning to think she had come in vain when her gaze suddenly caught a corner. There, in the shadow of the bars, lay a German Shepherd.
It didn’t try to rush out, didn’t bark, and didn’t even look at people. A huge, powerful dog, with intelligent eyes, seemed to be quietly dozing, detached from the commotion around it.
“There. I want that one,” the girl said suddenly and firmly, pointing at the Shepherd.
The shelter worker raised his eyebrows in surprise:
“Ma’am, you don’t understand… This dog is a real problem. It’s wild and constantly attacks people. No one can handle it. We even considered putting it down.”
The girl just smiled and shook her head:
“That’s okay. We all have our flaws,” she said, pointing to her wheelchair. “I want to meet it face to face. Look at that gaze.”
“Well… as you wish,” the man sighed heavily. “But I warn you: it could end badly.”
When the kennel was opened and the Shepherd was brought to the girl, a tense silence fell over the shelter. The staff froze, visitors stepped back in fear. Everyone expected the dog to lunge, bare its teeth, bite her hands or legs, and that it would end badly.
The Shepherd stopped at a distance, tense. Its ears were alert, eyes fixed on the girl in the wheelchair. The seconds dragged painfully. And sud
