Even nearly a year later, I still can’t let go of these high key shots I got with Zoie. She SWEARS she’s high-maintenance in photoshoots, but it really shows that photographers don’t like to sit in the moment and get their models’ target shots. This shoot was easy as any other🤷🏾just listen and take the feedback and you get beautiful shots like these🙌🏾

Here’s some ways I keep everyone happy and comfortable in my shoots:

1. Play music— loudly. Vibes have to be right from the moment they step in, or it’ll be an uphill battle getting it right later

2. Get invested in your model’s successes. I’m here to help; if I need to be an emotional rock, a source of mental support, a glass to cheer with, or a pillar for physical self-rediscovery, I’ve got to be present for my clients and models (that’s why I’m protective of my people)

3. Give your shoots time, effort, and attention in planning. Clarity, direction, and calm put people at ease— all of which come with doing your homework before shoot time. Communicate the nerdy things you find for your shoots and don’t be insecure about your passion
