This Thursday at Off The Chain Thursday, we’re doing something a little different. Instead of just talking about the future of the decentralized web, we’re inviting the community to help design it. As Atlanta steps into the global decentralized web movement, this session will focus on bringing together builders, technologists, and community organizers to collaborate on what our city’s role can and should be in this next phase of the internet.

Through facilitated small group conversations, we’ll dig into the real challenges and opportunities shaping our local ecosystem — from expanding beyond traditional tech circles to identifying the infrastructure, resources, and partnerships needed to move forward. This is about building from the ground up, together, and making sure Atlanta has a meaningful voice in shaping the decentralized future.

Conversations across the crypto space are heating up around one of the most important (and often overlooked) parts of Web3: governance. Recent debates surrounding Aave have pulled back the curtain on how decisions are really made within decentralized protocols—raising questions around voter participation, delegate influence, and whether token-based governance truly reflects the will of the community.

At this week’s OTC Thursday, we’re unpacking what’s happening, why it matters, and what comes next. From the rise of more structured, “enhanced” DAO models to the broader push for better alignment between builders, users, and token holders, we’ll explore how governance is evolving in real time. If Web3 is about ownership and decentralization, then governance is where those ideals are tested—and refined. Join us as we continue pushing Atlanta forward as a top 10 blockchain city in the next 5 years.

Last night at Atlanta Blockchain Center, we hosted AUC @ ABC, bringing together students from the Atlanta University Center—Spelman College, Morehouse College, and Clark Atlanta University—for a powerful and inspiring evening. The room was filled with curiosity, ambition, and real conversation as students shared where they are in their journeys and began to see where they can fit within the evolving world of blockchain and emerging technology.

What stood out most was the energy. This wasn’t just about learning—it was about activation. From marketing and community building to operations and leadership, it was clear that the next wave of builders doesn’t just come from code, it comes from culture, perspective, and ex*****on. We’re committed to continuing to create space, provide access, and equip the next generation to step confidently into this industry as we push Atlanta forward on our mission 🚀

The conversation around crypto regulation just took a major turn—and it’s one we’ve all been waiting on.

The SEC’s latest stance that many tokens are not securities marks a significant shift for the industry. For years, builders, founders, and investors have had to navigate uncertainty around how digital assets would be classified. Now, we’re beginning to see clearer lines being drawn—creating space for more confident innovation, stronger compliance frameworks, and a more mature crypto ecosystem overall.

This week at OTC Thursday, we’re unpacking what this actually means (and what it doesn’t), how it impacts projects, investors, and the broader market, and where the opportunities are from here. Whether you’re deep in the space or just getting started, this is a conversation you don’t want to miss as we continue pushing Atlanta toward becoming a top 10 blockchain city in the next 5 years.
