Mother’s Day is a gentle reminder of the quiet strength, endless love, and selfless care that mothers pour into every day. It’s a chance to say thank you—not just for the big sacrifices, but for the little moments that shape our lives: the warm hugs, the wise words, the late-night talks, and the way she always seems to know what you need before you do. A mother’s love is the kind of magic that never fades, and today is all about celebrating her light.

A couple of weeks ago, two sisters reached out to us wanting photos with their family.

And this session truly put us. in. our. feels. You could see the pride and joy in Mom’s and Dad’s eyes as they gazed at their daughters. First generation graduates. Being from an immigrant family ourself, there is no denying how tough it can be to leave everything you’ve known behind to build a better future. They may not have come from a lot, but they made sure to do their best to provide us with everything.

Venturing out and trusting our vision for this photography business has been far from perfect… which is what social media can make it appear at times. Many days of doubt, questioning, and wondering if this is what we’re meant to do. But if there’s one thing we know, our families were our pillars and stood behind us and cheered us on as we both navigated this business together.

So this post is a little more personal. Here’s to ALL immigrants parents that worked, work, and is still working overtime to provide a better life for their kids. We see you, we recognize you, and we will be forever grateful for you.
