What actually keeps people at accounting firms, and what quietly pushes them out?

In this episode of MOVE Like This, I sit down with Kristi Epp and Amber Schrock of Frazier & Deeter for a real conversation about leadership, retention, and belonging in a profession that’s changing fast. We talk about why younger professionals are rejecting the old busy-season model, how firms can build cultures that support long-term growth (without burning people out), and why pay equity and psychological safety matter more than ever.

If you’re a firm leader thinking about succession, retention, or how to support your people in a more honest, human way, this conversation is for you.

Tomorrow at 10am CST: This isn't another "best practices" webinar. It's the playbook leading firms are using to win the talent war while others are still throwing money at the problem.

The difference after one hour:
→ You'll understand why people actually leave (hint: it's not money)
→ You'll spot the hidden barriers killing your retention efforts
→ You'll have the research-backed roadmap firms are using right now

Accounting MOVE Project data. Real strategies.

Employment attorney Aislinn Sroczynski joins to break down what many are struggling with: how to maintain meaningful inclusion efforts without exposing your organization to unnecessary legal risk.

The legal foundation hasn't changed. Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, and the Equal Pay Act still govern employment decisions. Most DEI initiatives that were lawful before remain lawful now.

Inclusive hiring practices, diverse interview panels, bias training, open ERGs, and supplier diversity programs are legal but quotas, closed-group ERGs, or employment decisions tied directly to race or gender are crossing a line (sound familiar?)

In the end, the greatest risk to firms is reacting impulsively.
