I was honored to join Governor Brian Kemp for the signing of Trey’s Law, legislation I was proud to help sponsor in the Georgia General Assembly.

This important new law ensures that victims of childhood sexual abuse can never again be silenced by nondisclosure agreements tied to legal settlements. Survivors deserve the right to tell their story, seek justice, and help protect others from becoming victims.

Trey’s Law is about accountability, transparency, and putting the protection of children ahead of protecting institutions. I appreciate Governor Kemp, my legislative colleagues, advocates, and the survivors whose courage helped make this legislation possible for Georgia families.

Acworth showed up tonight for the Annual North Cobb Rotary Club Smoke on the Lake BBQ Competition! Great food, live music, fellowship, and an incredible crowd made for a fantastic evening supporting charities, scholarships, and community service projects across North Cobb.

I was proud to do my part by helping monitor the VIP tent “ICE CREAM” testing station and ensuring the Boar’s Head sandwiches provided by Publix met the highest standards. Tough assignment, but someone had to do it.

Thank you to all my fellow North Cobb Rotary Club members, volunteers, sponsors, pitmasters, and everyone who came out to support this outstanding community tradition!
