We're so excited to welcome Vanessa Stewart to Film Pitch ATL for the first time! 🎬✨

Vanessa is an actress, producer, and writer, and the Chief Creative Officer of Georgia-based production company StoryMill Entertainment. She's the co-producer of the upcoming Tim Blake Nelson film Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd, filmed in Columbus, and the executive producer of The Hot Temp, an office comedy from French Stewart, set to shoot in Atlanta in November 2025.

As a producer and writer, Vanessa also has several TV projects in development — including Storyville with Taylor Hackford at Leonardo DiCaprio's company Appian Way, and Real Mthr*, a finalist for the Sundance TV Workshop about a group of older friends navigating motherhood for the first time. She also wrote and produced for the women's film anthology Girls Girls Girls, featuring SXSW award-winning director Tracie Laymon.

An accomplished film editor with over 10 years of experience, Leland has worked on music videos, feature films, short-form content, and commercials. As a director, he's led multiple short film crews and is set to release his first feature, Empathy, this spring. He's also the Co-Owner of Cupcake Rapture Studios, where he collaborates with his wife, Phaedra Benford.
