A year ago (well… yesterday, because we don’t post on Sundays 😌), I released “What It’s Giving: The Live Album.”

At a time when music started to feel like work, I had to find my way back to the joy of it. So I returned to where it all began… the stage.

As a child, all I ever wanted to do was sing. Like so many artists, I dreamed of singing in the church. But my authentic self wasn’t welcomed there.

I cried. I questioned. But that moment didn’t break me—it birthed the artist you see today.

Instead of letting someone else define my destiny, I created my own lane. A lane where everyone is welcome.

Everyone won’t understand. Everyone won’t agree. This journey isn’t for them.

But to anyone who has ever been silenced by someone else’s ignorance… I hope my existence reminds you that you deserve to exist exactly as you are. 💗
